Engagement...what does this mean, really?  If you look it up, there are multiple definitions, but one of the most poignant is the WordNet definition, "the act of sharing in the activities of a group."  Since our creation, Hands On Mississippi has been a group of volunteers - dedicated, driven, resourceful - who have shared in a common purpose, in a common goal, and in a common sense of community.  We have engaged thousands upon thousands of volunteers from all over the world for one common purpose -- to enhance our communities, and to enhance Mississippi.

Our office likes to call it "doing good stuff."  Generic, yes.  Vague, indeed.  True, most definitely.  If we see a gap, we bridge it with volunteers like you.  If we see a void, we fill it with volunteers like you.  What do you see?  What calls you to become engaged?
