Holly Gibbs named Hands On Mississippi Interim Executive Director


Hands On Mississippi (http://www.handsonmississippi.org) announced today that it has hired Holly J. Gibbs as interim executive director, where she will oversee its staff and operations. Mrs. Gibbs, who has held the positions of AmeriCorps Program Director and Director of Volunteer Services, has been with Hands On since 2010 and will guide the organization in vision and programatic impact. "I'm delighted that Holly has agreed to act as our Interim Director at Hands On,” said Board President Lee Gentry. “Her background in volunteerism and community-based non-profits makes her an ideal choice to head our organization through this period of transition.” “Holly has been a dedicated employee with a keen eye on service and outreach,” added current Executive Director Catherine M. Gautier. “Her grasp of current opportunities and challenges for and faced by volunteers and partner agencies has been a tremendous asset to us to far, and her stepping up to this transitional leadership will continue our mission of volunteerism in Mississippi.” “I am overjoyed to have this opportunity to serve as the next Executive Director at Hands On Mississippi and to continue the great work of those before me,” said Holly Gibbs. “Having seen the selfless acts of my fellow community members after Hurricane Katrina, I have been inspired to 'Be The Change.' Thank you to everyone who believes in our mission, and I look forward to this next chapter.”

Mrs. Gibbs was with Boys and Girls Club of the Gulf Coast prior to joining the Hands On Mississippi team. Hernonprofit experience includes serving on boards of directors for the MS Renaissance Garden Foundation, andCoalville United Methodist Church where she additionally serves as an Outreach Coordinator.
