Catherine came to Hands On Mississippi as Executive Director after serving as Executive Director of the John S. and James L. Knight Nonprofit Center. Long a friend of Hands On, Catherine's passion lies in the networking and collaboration of NGOs, government agencies, and for-profit enterprises.
Lesley Back, Director of Operations
A weekend warrior volunteer, Lesley came with vast development experience from years of service at the Boys & Girls Club of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Her expertise encompasses a compassion for youth services and outreach as well as a broad understanding the nonprofit sector.
Jani Schmit, Director of Finance
Successful nonprofits thrive with the oversight and investment of a skilled CPA, and Hands On is grateful to have Jani on board. Jani's expertise has provided us with tremendously valuable insight.
Holly Gibbs, AmeriCorps Program Director
Formerly also a program director and administrator for the Boys & Girls Club, Holly brings energy and perspective into our Coastal-wide program. Her understanding of the networks of community members and organizations enhances our program involvement in the community.
Lauri Cochran, Office Manager
Often referred to as "The Minister of Information," Lauri keeps the office and staff in order, to keep it plain and simple. Also with a background of nonprofit experience, Hands On benefits from her comprehensive view of the community and the needs at hand.
